Heather + Robert

This week on the blog we are featuring one of the two weddings we had this past weekend. I had the pleasure of working with Heather & Rob on their special day..talk about a sweet couple! They were so fun to work with!

This fun-loving couple has a passion for music and travel and that definitely showed throughout their big day! From the moment guests walked into cocktail hour at Rhinegeist, they were able to see Heather & Rob’s vision come to life.​​

​Standard guest books have become a thing of the past. Our couples are always surprising us with fun, alternative ideas for their guest book! This couple was no different. We loved the idea of having all their guests leave a note for them on an acoustic guitar! To tie it all together, they used the empty guitar case as the card box. Such a fun idea!

​Can we just talk about this head table for a minute?! If this isn’t the head table of our dreams, I don’t know what is! The exposed brick, the draped lighting, the simple greenery down the middle, filled in with an endless amount of candles.. so elegant and romantic!! It truly was the showcase of the room.

​The guest tables were just as flawless. City BBQ provided gold trimmed salad plates with matching gold silverware on top of a waterfall fold napkin. The gold lanterns with sprigs of greenery added the perfect romantic glow to the evening. 

​We really enjoyed setting up the dessert table for Heather & Rob. The bourbon barrels, wooden crates, wagon wheel, and little white step ladder added the perfect touch of rustic charm to the space. We loved the contrast of the white cake stands against all of the wood. We can’t forget to mention the yummy treats.. mini cupcakes, cookies, and homemade cookie balls were all on display, but didn’t last long! 

​Who needs a photo booth when you can have a selfie station?! We loved the idea of setting out props and selfie sticks for guests to take their picture. The twinkle lights hanging from the ceiling made the perfect backdrop! 

​It’s all about those details! We loved how Heather and Rob incorporated song lyrics as some of their signs around the reception space.. all tying in with their passion for music.

​Congrats again to Heather & Rob! Thank you for letting Simply Events be a part of your big day! Wishing you a lifetime of love and happiness!
